Community Outreach
Doreen, Community Outreach Coordinator, presented 15 quilts to The House Next Door. Chris Booker, COO of The House Next Door, shared information about the programs offered and how the donated quilts are used. Quilts are big part of play therapy for children and are gifted to graduating families. Chris expressed how grateful the organization is for our donations.
Additionally, 15 quilts were recently presented to Grace Medical Home.
Festival of Trees: Ashley will be at Monday sew day if you want to drop off your Festival of Trees blocks or get your kit fixed.

If you would like to help Ellen with setup for the Library showcase, let her know! Help is needed on Monday, 9/29 and Tuesday, 9/30.
Make sure you sign up for the retreat! Book your room and book the retreat pass online. Rooms at the hotel are being remodeled now and will be looking nice and new when we arrive. The retreat will feature a popup store from Sew Much Fun, a new quilt shop in Melbourne. We are seeking door prize donations - get them to Priscilla or Susan H.

Board elections are coming up in February. Our President, Treasurer, Secretary, and Member at Large roles will be available. Ellen and Raven presented on the responsibilities of Treasurer and Secretary today. Please let them know if you are interested in their roles or want to shadow.
Treasurer's Report
Posted and viewable (see link to presentation at the top of the minutes). Lots of income this month due to new members and retreat fees, however the retreat fees are expected to equal out once we pay for the room.

Everyone did a fantastic job! So many creative ways to incorporate "15" into a quilt.
Cara won for most instances of 15 (7).
Priscilla won most creative use of 15 for her 15 "slappliqued" flowers.

Next month's block is the Poppy Block. All blocks will be donated for Guadalupe River flooding relief efforts.
