Visitor Welcome

  • Ashley, Member at Large, welcomed 1 new member and 2 visitors


Announcements & Upcoming Events

  • Reminder that the 15 15 Challenge is on!

  • After the success of our May Sewcial, we will be hosting another one at Hourglass Brewing on June 19! More info on the calendar. If you have an idea for a future location, please contact Bradie/the guild email.

  • Our first evening Zoom program will occur in June, Raven will share some of the color palette building tricks she learned at QuiltCon 2025.

  • Cara invited members to note their interest in the Winter Park Library program in July

  • Georgianna will be selling off a lot of her stash next weekend, more info to come in an email. Cara reminded guild members that we are happy to email the guild about any quilting supplies you're looking to sell, just please prepare what you would like shared word-for-word as it will be copy and pasted into the email!


Treasurer's Report

  • Ellen announced that our audit has been completed


Education

  • Caroline's Jacket class is almost full!

  • Bradie will host another Bag Making Class at the Casselberry Sew Day on August 23. If you sign up for the class and find out you can no longer make it, please let us know so someone else can have the spot!


Programming - Needle & Thread with Tina Mercado


Tina shared information on some of our greatest tools - the needle and thread. She offered several "aha" moments - like using the groove of the needle to make sure the thread makes it through the eye, and how to know when to mount your thread spool horizontally vs vertically.


Community Outreach

  • We will be doing a project for Legal Aid soon - let us know if you are interested in participating!

  • Pam and Kathy are gathering everyone to start talking about the 2026 QuiltCon quilt soon! Current plan is to discuss ideas at the July Maitland Sew Day.

  • Ashley will be gathering everyone to talk about the Festival of Trees quilt in the next month.

  • 12 quilts each have been/will soon be donated to Grace Medical Home and The House Next Door.
