Community Outreach Report
July quilt deliveries:
Seniors First, Meals on Wheels
36 placemats
Winnie Palmer Hospital (10th Floor nursing team for seriously ill women)
13 quilts
The House Next Door (children and adolescents receiving counseling)
19 quilts
Winnie Palmer, NICU - 23 taggies ready for delivery, mini-taggies need ongoing
Charity kits still available - include the quilt top, backing, batting, and notes about binding materials.
We only ask that you quilt the top. Binding is optional, and guild members can complete it if needed.
If you bind the quilt, please sew in the provided guild label.
Education Coordinator Report
Next month – Ikea bag of Scraps with Cheryl Arkison. Reminder and Zoom link will be sent on day of event.
Programming
Toni Hill of the Sewing Studio gave a presentation on Thread 101. Toni discussed types of threads, needles and their usage.
Education Raffle Basket
Lorri Westaby won education basket.
Block of the Month
Discussion about putting together Eye-Spy blocks at the retreat. There will be instructions on the website under Block of the Quarter. Bring your 3.5” or 5” inch scraps to the retreat or make the blocks to turn in at the October meeting.
