President Marge Cree welcomed everyone to the September 2022 meeting. Business items announced included:
the next two meetings are in November (11/2) and December (12/7)
the next Global Quilt Connection that we've signed up for is September 17 & 18 from 3pm to 6pm; a newsletter went out to members already, and a reminder will go out again on September 15
Outreach update: the Festival of Trees quilt is in progress, and the pattern has been selected for the QuiltCon quilt; batting is available to take for placemats, and keep on bringing in the Call for Blocks blocks!
the Charity Basket was won by Moe Bradley!
the Block of the Month was won by Nancy Reed! Cara Dobrev showed the next month's block, a "Diamond in a Diamond," and instructions will be sent out soon.
Ellen Gordon updated the group on the Mystery Quilt - sewing on the curved pieces should be started, with a target to finish by the end of September; she will be sending the next set of instructions out soon.
a reminder from Marge that nominations for board positions are coming up
The program by Steph Skardal was very interesting - she covered her quilting journey and shared photos of the quilts she has made. How about those 1/8" strips???
Show & Tell was fascinating as always - our members are so talented!
