Announcements & Upcoming Events
Our exhibit up at downtown library through January 7! Come see 36 quilts and a dozen or so other items in cases. Please let Ellen know if you can help with taking the exhibit down on January 5 at 8:30 AM. We will be doing a group field trip to see the quilts at 11:30 on Friday, December 12 followed by lunch at Relax Grill.
Retreat was a ton of fun! You can see photos of finished projects in the members only Facebook Group. Save the dates for next year's retreat - October 23 - 25, 2026! We will need a retreat coordinator for next year - let us know if you are interested!
Cara and Doreen will be hosting an activity at the Winter Park Library America250 Kickoff Event on January 17, 2026 from 2 - 3:30 PM. They will bring a pieced patchwork top for library visitors to write on based on given prompts. Join the fun!
We have filled all 3 spots on our Election Committee. If you are interested in an officer position, especially President, Treasurer, or Secretary, please let Karol Evans, Pam Edwards, and Love Sullivan know!
Education
Thank you to everyone who filled out a survey! If you did not get the opportunity to fill one out, reach out to us at orlandomodernquiltguild@gmail.com . We have received a lot of interest in wearable art, scrappy and machine applique, portrait quilts, back-to-basics, and bag making.
We have enough interest for another jacket class with Caroline! This will go up on the calendar shortly. Virtual date TBD, in person on March 21.
Sew Much Fun is willing to do an in-person class for our guild as long as we can get 10 people to register. Laura will work on coordinating a group.
Community Outreach
The QuiltCon quilt is finished! Thank you to all who worked on it and Priscilla for quilting it.

Treasurer Report
Our big expense was the room for the retreat. Everything else is business as usual.
Programming - Online Color Palette Building Tools with Raven
Raven shared the tools she learned about at QuiltCon earlier this year. Slides are in the presentation deck at the top of this post. Main websites are coolors.co and quiltink.com

Education Basket
Tina won this month's basket!

BOM
Cara won the December blocks!

This month's block is Improv Triangles - so easy to knock out several blocks at once!

We had fun telling our rights from our lefts in the gift exchange this year!
