You don’t have to be intimidated by Half Square Triangles and Half Rectangle Triangles. We will discuss everything you need to know about them, from cutting, piecing, pressing, and trimming. Students will continue to expand their quilting techniques by learning to execute accurate strip piecing. By the end of this class, students will be able to answer the questions: What is fabric bias? Why can’t Half Rectangle Triangles be assembled like Half Square Triangles? Why does an accurate ¼” seam matter, and how do I achieve it? What is the difference between pressing and ironing my fabric? We will learn all of these skills while making two blocks from my Topsy-Turvy Star pattern.
